Privacy notice

This notice explains what RUTHVEN AI LIMITED does with personal data that people give it through this website. It is written to be read, not skimmed, and it is short because we collect very little.

Who we are

RUTHVEN AI LIMITED, a company registered in Scotland (SC900903), registered office 3F1, 3 Hill Street, Edinburgh EH2 3JP, is the data controller. Contact: info@ruthven.ai.

What we collect, and why

  • The enterprise form. Name, organisation, role, work email address, what you would like to talk about and dates that suit you. We use these only to arrange and hold the conversation you asked for. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you chose to make, and, where it leads to a contract, taking steps at your request before entering into it.
  • Email. If you write to us, we keep the correspondence for as long as the conversation it belongs to is live, and for twelve months after, in case it resumes.
  • Nothing else. This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no tracking scripts.

Who processes it

The website and its form are hosted by Netlify, Inc., which stores form submissions on our behalf and forwards each one to us by email. Netlify acts as our processor under its data processing terms; its infrastructure may be located outside the United Kingdom, in which case the transfer is covered by Netlify’s standard contractual clauses. We use no other processor for this data and we never sell or share it.

How long we keep it

Form submissions are deleted from Netlify and from our email twelve months after the last exchange with you, unless a conversation or an engagement is continuing, in which case the records are kept for the life of that engagement and six years after it ends, as a business record.

Your rights

You may ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our processing it, or ask for a copy. Write to info@ruthven.ai. If you are unhappy with our answer you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk.
