# RUTHVEN > RUTHVEN is an Asset Intelligence system. It holds the recorded origin of an asset as an Origin Passport: every statement is a claim tied to evidence and to a verification state, and any claim can be proved to be part of the issued Passport without trusting RUTHVEN. It is read-only. It gives no valuation and recommends no action. The first collection is PAPER TRAIL: 4,000 works of digital art, token N is work N. Asset ids are PT-0001 to PT-4000. ## For a machine reader - [API](https://ruthven.ai/api/ruthven): what the API is — endpoints, verification states, permissions - [Asset record](https://ruthven.ai/api/ruthven/assets/PT-0001): the record of one asset; replace PT-0001 - [Evidence](https://ruthven.ai/api/ruthven/assets/PT-0001/evidence): every evidence record, with stable ids (EVID-…) - [Proof](https://ruthven.ai/api/ruthven/assets/PT-0001/proof): a Merkle proof that a record is part of the issued Passport, and the steps to check it - MCP server (streamable HTTP, POST): https://ruthven.ai/api/ruthven/mcp ## For a reader - [Origin Passport](https://ruthven.ai/origin/paper-trail/0001): the Passport page of one work; the same document as JSON is at /index.json beside it - [Verify](https://ruthven.ai/origin/paper-trail/verify/): check a work against IPFS in your own browser ## How to read a claim A claim's state is the weakest state of the records it rests on. A proof shows that the record contains a claim; it does not make a statement true. Each entry carries its own provenance, and its evidence type says whether it rests on a hash, on the chain, or on a statement by the artist.
